Perfect Pups

I'm so excited to have a dog-sitting gig, especially because it's with three sweet babies, Paisley and Cincia, two boxers, and Darby, a boston terrier/french bulldog mix. They follow me everywhere around the house! Without further ado....

Sweet Paisley- a classic boxer

Cincia!

Pwease play with me??

Paisley's beautiful stripes

Puppy's too fast!

Movin' fast with her chew rope

Paisley and Darby are best buds
As you can see, Paisley even lets Darby chew on her leg! :)

Some live action

Another view of Cincia

Proof that Cincia does, occasionally, stand up :)

The Walk

On our way to the trail, we passed by this guy- just like the one at our MN cabin!

Then we started our walk...

There was some cool info. This sign even said that the water was still slightly warmed up (comparatively) due to forest fires in the 1800s!

Huge ferns lined the trail

A look at the river below

On a bridge- look how clear the water is!!

Other side of the bridge

Awesome rock formations- and moss! Gotta love the moss!

I had never seen an orange berry like this! Still have to look it up...

Little waterfalls were coming down the mountain in random places

This total moron was about to jump off of this insanely high bridge. Elizabeth and I decided we didn't want to see someone die, so we didn't wait around. We did hear him slap the water, though, but I am sad to report that it was followed by clapping. The man remains in the gene pool. :(

Behold the Beauty

Elizabeth and I went walking at a park yesterday and the drive there was absolutely beautiful.

First it was curvy, tucked in a forest:

Then we reached a bridge where we HAD to stop to look at the gorgeous river:

Look at that house hangin' on!

Cool rock formations from the swirling of the water over time

Incredible view

My favorite picture

Then we got to the park and I started snapping pictures. I couldn't help myself-- look at this place!

Love this mossy tree

The falls!

More rocks and water :)

Neat rock wall

Beautiful scenery-- and people were actually swimming! Brrrr

The cool rushing water

Beautiful

The rocks were so fun- to look at and walk on

The mandatory flower shot

Flower plus pine tree!

Elizabeth watching as I tromp over the rocks

Fremont Finished

In the end, the fair was a roaring success- many signatures, many donations, and many gracious, wonderful people. As always, good things must come to an end:

The stadium on my way to the King Street train station

Love the tower of the station

The original ceiling of the station that is being restored- breathtaking

Luckily though (and gosh, isn't my life nearly mystical at this point?!), I got to come home to my kitty buddy, Oreo Cookie, encountering Orangella through the glass window:

Of course, they became less entertaining when I turned the video camera on, but you get the idea:

What Happens At the Fremont Fair...

This chicken company, Foster Farms, was doing a campaign against plumping- a process where chicken producers pump chicken breasts, etc. full of salt water to enlarge them and increase their weight before sale at the grocery store. Of course, I would prefer that they not kill chickens in the first place, so I wasn't really on board with the campaign, although I don't like consumers getting screwed. And unfortunately, the campaign, "Say No to Plumping!" with the picture of a chicken, at first looks like a campaign for animal rights, which had me all hot and bothered.

The chaos, the...pictures?

Most unfortunately, the campaign used adorable giant chickens, with whom I just had to have my picture taken:

Oh my God that thing is cute and plump

Precious. Poor slaughtered chicken :(
